How many rooms can be open at once
How many rooms one person and the whole server can have open, and what to do at the limit.

Before you start
- These limits are checked only when a new room is about to be created from a trigger channel. Rooms that are already open are not closed.
- There are two limits: how many rooms one person can have open, and how many rooms the whole server can have open.

What the limits are
- Rooms one person can have open at once: up to 3 on servers without Premium. Premium servers have no per-person limit.
- Rooms the whole server can have open at once: up to 10 on servers without Premium, up to 50 with Premium.
These two limits really apply. On a Premium server two things change: the per-person limit (3 rooms) goes away, and the server-wide limit rises from 10 to 50. The server-wide limit still applies on Premium servers.
Members: when you hit a limit
Read the notice
If a limit stops a room from being created, the bot sends you a DM with the reason. The notice you get when you already own 3 rooms is shown in A member's first 5 minutes.
If your DMs are closed, the same notice is posted in the trigger channel (or, if that fails, the Weekly report channel, then the system channel). It goes to one place only and disappears after 10 minutes. Joining again within that time does not post it again.
Free up one of your rooms
Leave a room you own. If you are the last person, the room disappears; if others remain, ownership passes to one of them. Either way your count goes down.
Then join the trigger channel again and a new room is created.
If the whole server is full, wait
When the whole server is at its limit (10 on servers without Premium), you get this notice. Wait until a room closes, then join the trigger channel again.
After you read the notice, free up a room or wait, then join the trigger channel again. Your room is created.
Admins: what you can do
Get the limit notice
When the whole server hits its limit, a notice is posted in the Weekly report channel. If you have not set that channel, no admin notice is posted and members still get theirs. The notice is posted at most once every 60 minutes. You set the channel below. Setting it also makes the weekly activity report post there and turns on voice-time tracking. An empty room disappears on its own when the last person leaves. If rooms with people in them fill the limit, ask those members to wrap up. If you delete a room yourself in Discord, it stops counting toward the limit.
Look at Premium if you need more
Premium servers can have 50 rooms open at once and have no per-person limit. See the plans on the pricing page and the limits in Compare plans and free-tier limits.
Once one room is gone, joining the trigger channel creates a new room.
