Log out other devices

End the Kletoi web sign-in on a lost or shared device in one step from the browser you are using.

When to use it

If you lost a device you were signed in on, or left a shared computer still signed in, you can end the sign-in on every other device in one step from the browser you are using now. If you lost a device, read the box “What it does not do, and what to do first” below before anything else. The order matters.

Info · You need
  • One browser where you are signed in to Kletoi with Discord (the one you are using now)
  • If you are not signed in, there is no such menu. Sign in first

Sign out the other devices

Click your name at the top right

On Home, a server home, the member screens and the admin console, the name chip at the top right opens the same menu. On a narrow screen the chip shows only your profile picture. At the bottom of it is Log out other devices. Under it you read “This browser stays signed in”.

Read the confirmation

Pressing it opens a confirmation inside the menu. It asks “Log out on all other devices?” and tells you “Every other device and browser will be signed out. This browser stays signed in.” If you change your mind, press Cancel.

Press Log out others

Press Log out others. This browser stays signed in and returns to Home.

C’est réussi si vous voyez ceci

A notice at the top of Home says “Logged out on other devices.” with “Screens already open sign out when refreshed.” under it. It shows once and is gone after a refresh.

Info · If the notice does not appear

If Discord's sign-in screen appears instead, or Home opens again without the notice, this browser's sign-in had already been ended. While signed in, repeat the steps once more.

What happens

Info · What is signed out
  • The Kletoi web sign-in on every device and browser except this one ends. The sign-in belongs to your account, so this covers the member screens and the admin console alike.
  • The other devices are signed out the next time they load or refresh a page. A public page opens signed out, and a page that needs sign-in sends the device to the Discord sign-in. If Discord is still signed in on that browser, it may come straight back in. A screen that is already open signs out when it is refreshed.
  • To use Kletoi again on another device, sign in with Discord again. After that it works normally. If the sign-in gets stuck, see The console is locked or commands are missing.
Attention · What it does not do, and what to do first
  • It does not touch your Discord account. It does not end your sign-in on Discord itself or in other apps; it ends only the Kletoi web sign-in.
  • If you lost a device, end its Discord sign-in in Discord first, then use this feature. If Discord is still signed in on that device's browser, the device can sign in to Kletoi again with Discord right after you end the Kletoi sign-in, and that new sign-in works straight away.
  • It does not erase values stored in that device's browser (screen settings and the like). What stays is listed in the web dashboard (login) data section of the Privacy Policy.
Info · How it differs from signing out

The Log out item in the same menu signs out only the browser you are using. The other devices stay signed in. Log out other devices does the opposite: it keeps this browser and ends the rest.

What the session and cookie hold is listed in the web dashboard (login) data section of the Privacy Policy.

Signing in and the screens are covered in A tour of the web console and logging in. How to delete your data or change what others can see is in Delete your data or change privacy settings.

Check it worked

C’est réussi si vous voyez ceci

You saw the “Logged out on other devices.” notice on Home in this browser. Refreshing a public page on the other device shows it signed out. A page that needs sign-in sends it to the Discord sign-in. If Discord is still signed in on that browser, it may come back in.
